Workplace English for Esthetics Professionals
This program assists those currently working in, or wishing to work in, the personal care industry with an emphasis on the beauty treatment, spa, skin care and weight management sectors. It will provide communication strategies for interacting with customers, assessing their needs and communicating intelligibly and accurately.
General topics covered will include greetings, customer enquiries and assisting customers, introducing and suggesting potential items for sale to customers, taking payments, leave-taking, customer care and promoting long-term customer relationships. The course will also cover language related to skin and hair care, nutrition, diet and meal planning, weight management, technology used in skin care, types of skin treatment, human anatomy, massage and relaxation, and factors specific to men’s health and women’ s health.
The College holds an Intern-certification with the Provincial Government. The program has been reviewed and approved by the PTIB Government of B.C.
There are 4 course levels from Elementary to Advanced.

- Advanced
Each course level is 100 hours over five weeks.
Students can enroll in two of the four courses. Please contact us to discuss options.
Classes are 20 hours per week. Lessons are online.
An official CMA College Certificate and transcript is awarded on completion.
