Esthetics Foundations Diploma Program

At CMA College your journey to becoming a skilled Esthetician begins with our exceptional diploma program. We are excited to introduce you to our comprehensive esthetic training program meticulously designed to equip you with everything essential for launching a successful career in the beauty industry.

Graduates of our Esthetics Foundations Diploma Program can work in resort spas, cruise ships, day spas, nail salons, cosmetic retail, or a home-based business as an Esthetician.

Our curriculum is a blend of instructors’ lesson plans and theory from the Milady’s textbook series, along with additional teacher-made materials and resources. CMA College supplies all equipment, spa furniture, and most supplies.

This full-time diploma program is now 880 hours.

To apply and be accepted into this program, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a graduate of grade 12 with a high school diploma or GED equivalent. A BC Dogwood Diploma is also acceptable.
  2. You must be 19 years of age or older. Persons under 19 years of age can be approved with parental/guardian consent.
  3. ESL/ESOL applicants must have a minimum of grade 10 English proficiency. You are required to have a 5.5+ IELTS (Academic) certificate or other ESL/ESOL certification that meets the Canadian learning benchmark.
  1. Yes. CMA College is an accredited post-secondary school.
  2. Yes. This program is designated by the P.T.I.R.U. of the Province of British Columbia.

This program is 40 weeks full-time and 58 weeks part-time.

  • Spa Professional: 80 hours (All theory)
  • Body & Face Hair Removal: 160 hours (Theory & Practical)
  • Nails 1 – Manicures & Pedicures: 160 hours
  • Nails 2 – Nail Extensions: 160 hours (Theory & Practical)
  • Makeup Artistry: 160 hours (Theory & Practical)
  • Facial Therapy: 160 hours (Theory & Practical)
