CMACollege’s Workplace English for Esthetics Professionals is a post-secondary program that helps beauty industry professionals improve their English communications skills in their work environment. Incorporating career-specific vocabulary and contexts, each unit offers step by step instruction that immerses students in the four key language components. You will gain skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar. Our diverse collective of students come to learn in our supportive digital environment as we provide the best ESL Course in Canada. Certified teachers use a wide range of interactive teaching resources in a cutting-edge online classroom environment. A unique feature of this program is that new and old students participate together in virtual classes and student life activities suggested by your instructors designed to aid in your English language skills.

Note: After completion of the Workplace English for Esthetics Professionals program to develop the higher language skills required for work, students may choose to continue to English for Academic Purposes for degree and postgraduate co-op programs or field education at college or university. 

There are fifteen units from beginning to end. A total of 400 hours over 4 months. Classes are held virtually, and instructors are available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Textbooks and Kit: $700.00
  • Student Assessment/ Placement Fee: $200.00
  • Total: $3900.00

Program Learning Outcomes

The graduate has reliably demonstrated the ability to:

  1. Communicate competently at a level required for employment or post secondary education, showing flexibility and clarity of thought and expression. 
  2. Communicate competently and flexibly, to interact culturally appropriately, in a variety of workplace, post-secondary and/or societal environments. 
  3. Conduct research and write essays/papers/reports according to academic conventions at a level required by colleges, universities, and/or the workplace.

  6. Understand and utilize critical-thinking processes and problem-solving techniques. 
  7. Examine and evaluate various aspects of our changing society to assist in developing a sense of personal and social responsibility as a citizen in society. 
  8. Employ basic vocational skills drawn from the areas of the humanities, social and behavioural sciences, or vocational studies (business, technology).
